Behavioral health workforce challenges are complex and nationwide. The BHWCA was founded to bring together state and regional workforce centers to learn from one another, share data and solutions, and support a stronger, more sustainable behavioral health workforce.

Membership is open to behavioral health workforce development centers, state agencies, academic institutions, and other organizations working to improve the behavioral health workforce.

While individual centers focus on their state or region, the BHWCA provides a national platform for collaboration, ensuring that lessons learned locally can benefit the broader workforce development community.
